Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect
While using OwnAI, we may collect:
- Tool usage logs (which tool, how often — for analytics)
- IP address (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention)
- Language preference (stored in a cookie)
- Text input you provide to AI tools — sent to third-party AI providers for processing (see below)
- In the prompt generator: a short excerpt of the goal you type (up to 300 characters) and usage statistics (type of task, whether the prompt was copied) — no name or email, used only to improve the service
- If you press "Share", that prompt is stored at a public link
- If you press "Save", the prompt stays only in your own browser (localStorage) and is not sent to our server
2. Third-Party AI Providers
When you use AI-powered tools (Writer, Summarizer, etc.), your input is sent to third-party AI service providers to generate a response. We aim to work with providers that follow reasonable data-handling practices, but we recommend not entering sensitive or personal information into AI tools.
3. Public Library — Publicly Stored Content
If you click "Save to Library" on content generated by the Prompt Generator or other generation tools, that content is stored in our **Public Library** and **can be viewed and used by other visitors**. This is entirely public — there is no private-save option.
⚠️ Please note: Do not save any personal information, business secrets, or sensitive content to the Public Library. Treat anything you save as public.
4. How We Use Your Information
Collected data is used solely to improve the service, prevent abuse, and analyze tool performance. We do not sell your data.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies (e.g., to remember your language preference) and an anonymous visitor-ID cookie that helps us understand which pages and features are useful. A small cookie is also used to count blog post views. This site may also show advertising; ad networks (such as Adsterra or Google AdSense) may set their own cookies. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
6. Children's Privacy
This site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
